One of John Bunjo´s long held dreams has been to have Christians from the West come on short term missions to Uganda, and experience for themselves some of the remarkable things God is doing there. When the missionaries return home they will take back with them a better understanding of the strengths and problems of Uganda. It is easy to watch and forget a few brief seconds of news or a half hour documentary, but it is another thing if you spend a couple of weeks there.
The first such mission trip happened in April 2007 when 8 Christians from various parts of the UK traveled to Uganda and spent 2 weeks in Kampala and Soroti. Some of these worked for CRM, some sponsored children through CRM´s sponsorship scheme while others just felt that they just had to go; when God says to you GO, you know what you have to do.
Another mission was held in 2008 when 12 people traveled to Uganda, staying at the Namirembe Guest House in Kampala. They took part in a mission in a village near Jinga as well as traveling to a Safari Park in the west of the country.
The 2009 mission trip took place in May 2009 when another 12 people took part.
The next mission trip to Uganda will be held 2010. The cost of the two week trip is likely to be £1100 plus spending money. For further details please contact Jane Sullivan at the office.
