What is Partnership?

Our Partners in Uganda
during an encounter meeting in 2007

Partners are people who stand with us financially by giving money to CRM itself to help pay the general day to day running, to buy land and prepare for the building of our school and many other things. As you know, all the money that sponsors give goes into the Sponsorship Project, the running costs of the project are covered by donations from our partners, who we value immensely. We are currently seeking partners to help fund the cost of building our School Project at Bombo.

A Christian Restoration covenant partner is a woman, man, or teen whose heart has been touched with the vision, plans, and purposes on God's heart that are to be accomplished by Christian Restoration Ministries International. This is His ministry raised up "for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14).

A partner realizes that God's plan at this time for their life includes receiving the blessing of being obedient to the call of God on their life through involvement in Christian Restoration Ministries International. A covenant partner is one who prays, works, gives, grows, and serves in CRM as the Lord directs and as the CRM's vision provides opportunity to do so.

Your gifts will be used to:
  • Pay the wages of the teachers at the Restoration Bible Training School.
  • Provide the bus fare for Thomas, who is in charge of the Sponsorship Project, to visit the school and the children.
  • Fund the many outreaches we run around Kampala and further a field. These outreaches usually require the hire of a van, PA equipment and a generator, as there is no electricity outside the city areas.
  • Fund the planting of new churches.
  • Many people come to the CRM offices in Kampala seeking money to feed their children, for urgent medical expenses and all kinds of needs.
  • We are raising money to build a school at Bombo, together with an orphanage and clinic. The first phase, the building of the Pre-Primary block commenced in early 2008, we are believing in God for the finance for this. The full plan is for a school catering for up to 1000 children, half of whom will be sponsored.
  • Money is needed to run the offices in Uganda and the UK - all workers are either unpaid volunteers or have private sponsors, but finance is still needed for the rent, stationary supplies, postage etc
  • We need to establish an internet connection into our office in Kampala; this will greatly help communication between England and Uganda and cut costs in administration, as well as enabling us to call free using VOIP as opposed to paying 20-40p per minute (UGS 2000/=) at present

What have we achieved so far?

  • Restoration Bible Training School formed in 2004; well over 100 people have been trained and empowered.
  • Graduates have planted churches in many areas.
  • Divine encounter meetings held all over Uganda, some of the most recent in Kampala, Nakeseke, Soroti and Jinja.
  • First conference/retreat for Pastors and Church Leaders held in Jan 2007, 346 attended the weekend and it is now set to become an annual event. The second conference was held in January 2008.
  • A magazine called "Abigail" is published which seeks to help women overcome problems in their lives, marriages & relationships.
  • Twelve acres of land purchased with money from donations and plans drawn up for a school for orphaned & needy children.
  • John & Sarah have a lunchtime teaching slot on Top Radio which reaches over 10 million people throughout Uganda. They have been teaching this way since 2002.
  • John has recently started a program on a radio station in Nakeseke.
  • Child sponsorship program started in 2006 in conjunction with the UK office: Sponsors have now been found for over 100 orphaned & needy children in Uganda who are now attending a Christian boarding school.

Latest News

  1. One of our sponsored children, a five year old boy, was found to have a Prolapsed Bowel. We would like to thank a local Irish band who got together and raised funds for his operation, which was a success. The boy is now healthy and in school. (October 2006)

  2. We thank God for another partner who provided the money to pay for an operation on another of our sponsored children. Joweria, a ten year old girl and the daughter of a Muslim, had a serious growth on her back about the size of a pineapple, which was painful and disfiguring. She has just had surgury in Kampala and is currently doing well. (July 2007)

  3. Another child, Kasozi, an 11 year old boy has had to walk with the aid of crutches since birth and was in constant pain due to a deformity of his hip. When our staff talked to the locals where he lived, the horror of the situation became apparent; Kasozi´s father had many wives and was a violent man. One day he beat Kasozi´s mother with a big stick while she was still pregnant with Kasozi, breaking his leg and damaging his hip. Thanks to a generous donation, this young boy has been operated upon and undergone a major reconstruction of his hip. While he will be in hospital for quite a few more months yet he is doing well. When asked what the first thing was that he wanted to do when he could walk he replied, "Play football", something he has never done before. (July 2008)

  4. Sumini, aged 6 has also been found to have a prolapsed bowel and is awaiting an operation. (August 2008)

As can be seen from the above, CRM, while being a Christian organisation, does not discriminate on the grounds of faith - our main criterial is NEED.

Then the righteous ones will reply,
"Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you?
Or thirsty and give you something to drink?
Or a stranger and show you hospitality?
Or naked and give you clothing?
When did we ever see you sick, or in prison, and visit you?"

And the King will tell them,
"I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me".

    Matthew 25: 37-40 (NLT
